Aberdeen Carriage Driving Display team goes to Horse Power, Alford.
The display team was made up of Sloe, our teaching connemara and Fiona and Iain Gordon's shetland pair Fred and Hassle. We all had a fabulous day out and the weather was on our side.

Zorro wins his first event.
Thornton event was Zorro's first full event. He had a nice dressage finishing on 54 penalties putting him in 2nd place going into marathon and cones. He gave a very fluid and responsive drive through the obstacles finishing 3rd fastest of the day through the obstacles. He finished 1st in the Single Horse and 3rd overall just missing reserve champion.
Zorro went to his first Driving Trial, competing HC, where he completed a reasonable first dressage on a a score of 54.74 penalties. He did not complete the whole marathon but tackled all of the obstacles well and most importantly did all which was asked of him without a fuss.
At long last Zorro has made his first public outing albeit without his carriage. He traveled to the grassroots event at Lunan bay where I was judging. He was long reined around the cones and warm up area and behaved impecably.

Our Latest Addition
This season will be an exciting return to HDT for me following the arrival of my new horse Zorro. Recently imported from Holland, Zorro is a KWPN rising 4yo and is showing great promise and enthusiasm for his work. He will be out this season for his first few events which we hope will be lots of fun as they certainly wont be too competitive. Follow Zorro's progress on the website.
I wish to offer thanks to the Late Juliet Oswald, without whom I would never have achieved so much. Juliet gave me huge support as well as sponsoring me for several years. Her help, advice and constant enthusiasm will stay with me forever. I was honored to have been chosen by Juliet to drive Sloe, her beloved conemara, who taught me so much
To Juliet, all I have left to say is Thank You
I would also like to give a very big thank you to Jack Clyne of Clyne Engineering who sponsored me in the form of one of his three phase vehicles. This vehicle still remains my favorite and saw us through some sticky moments without a wobble. Thank you Jack
There are many other people who have helped me since I started driving and I would like to thank them all for their support. Without one very special couple in particular I would not have made it to the National Championships in my first National season, thank you.
Thanks also go to Equinomad, our new sponsors, who have made the purchase of a new Rene Schoop competition carriage possible.
